Hipster crane decides to wait for bus along Thomson Rd because flying is too mainstream

Stomper Harry was at Thomson Road yesterday morning (Jan 15) when he saw an unusual 'commuter' at a bus stop.

In a Facebook message, the Stomper said he came across a white crane.

Photos that Harry sent show the relatively small bird staring at the road, as if it was waiting for a bus.

Said the Stomper:

"It suddenly landed from behind the bus stop.

"Every time a vehicle passed by, it got frightened stepped backwards."

Wherever the crane wanted to go, we hope it managed to get there eventually.
