An accident happened in Kovan today (Mar 21) at around 8.15am, in which two vehicles collided, and left a man trapped in a car which had overturned.
The incident happened at a intersection between Aroozoo Avenue and Charlton Road, reports Lianhe Zaobao.
A silver car and a black 7-seater were involved.
The impact from the accident caused the 7-seater to overturn, while the silver car was heavily damaged.
The airbags of both vehicles were activated on collision.
A spokesperson for the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told reporters that they dispatched a fire engine, a Red Rhino, a fire bike, two ambulances and a support vehicle to the scene.
A 56-year-old man Chinese male was trapped in the overturned 7-seater.
He was extracted by the SCDF and conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, with medical staff on standby awaiting his arrival.
A spokesperson from the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said that the man conveyed conscious while he was being transported to the hospital and investigations are ongoing.
