Stomper Daniel was driving home yesterday (May 15) at around 8pm when he saw the charred remains of a car near Floravale Condominium, located along Westwood Avenue in Jurong.

Said the Stomper:

"I saw personnel from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and police at the scene. Turns out, a vehicle had caught fire.

"The front of the car was totally burnt. The tyres were badly damaged and the front bumper was destroyed.

"Pieces of the car were scattered around the area."

A spokesperson from the SCDF told Stomp:

“SCDF was alerted to a vehicle fire at 240 Westwood Avenue at about 7.10pm yesterday evening.

"SCDF dispatched two Fire Engines and the fire was extinguished by SCDF using one water jet. There were no reported injuries.”
