Fire not working: Ten injured in New Year fireworks show in Malaysia

Looks like 2017 is not going to be as bright for the ten people who sustained injuries during the fireworks show at the Pandamaran Sports Complex in Port Klang.

According to a report by The Star, the incident took place right after midnight -- after several fireworks failed to go off in the air.

Take a look at the videos of the incident below and you will notice several sparks of fireworks exploding on the ground where the spectators had gathered to watch the display. They are then seen running for their safety.

Said Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operations officer Mohd Hassim Sidik:

"Seven victims were treated at the scene by medical personnel for minor injuries to their legs.

"Another three were sent to Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah for treatment."

Seven firefighters from the Port Klang station and medical personnel were also involved in aiding the victims.
