19-year-old man arrested for allegedly molesting 26-year-old woman at Jurong East

A 19-year-old man was arrested for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.

The victim, a 26-year-old woman, had made a police report on Oct 17 at around 10pm about how she had been molested by an unknown man along Jurong East Street 21.

Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of police cameras (POLCAMS), officers from Clementi Police Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him along Toh Guan Road East on Oct 19.

The suspect will be charged in court today (Oct 21) with the offence of outrage of modesty.

If convicted, he is liable to a jail term of up to two years or with a fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
