Did you ever think you would have to pay more than $7 for a nasi padang meal at a coffee shop?
Stomper Mj was with his colleagues when they visited a coffee shop in Bukit Panjang for lunch at about 12pm on Tuesday (Oct 22).
He told Stomp: "I can't exactly remember which block it was but this is the one either at Block 257 or Block 258 at Bangkit Road. It's the only coffee shop there with a nasi padang stall.
"I ordered two vegetables, one fish and an egg. When I was told the price, I got a shock. It was $7.30!
"This is my first time paying so much at a coffee shop in a Housing Board (HDB) area.
"I usually order the exact same ingredients at other places, so I expected to pay the usual of about $4 to $5.
"If it's a food court in a shopping mall then I can understand, but this is a coffee shop!
"Prices should be reasonable.
"I didn't confront the people at the stall and just paid for it."
What about you? Would you have paid more than $7 for this meal? Let us know in the comments below.
