A family in Malaysia received a terrifying surprise when they found a 6.7-metre long python at their Kampung Pok home in Johor.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation officer Abdullah Sani Md Jani said that they were alerted about the snake following a distress call at around 10.42am on Monday.
"A team of five officers was sent to the scene and found the snake at the back of the house."
"It took the team about half an hour to catch the reptile with a snare," he said in a statement.
He added that the python was then brought back to the station before it was handed over to the Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan), reports The Star.
