"Deep-seated" fire breaks out at Joo Koon warehouse

A fire broke out at a warehouse along 60 Benoi Road in Joo Koon on Tuesday (July 24).
Stomper Storm101 said there were police and firefighters at the scene.
Added the Stomper: "Staff from the Engineering Manufacturing Services (EMS) building were told to evacuate at around 11.15am.
"Sources said a warehouse fire occurred behind the EMS building."
In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the fire at about 10.50am.
"Upon arrival, smoke was seen from the upper levels of a warehouse."
"Firefighters successfully contained and extinguished the deep-seated fire, which involved building insulation materials and boards within a storage area in the warehouse with three water jets," added an SCDF spokesman.
There were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
