A fire broke out at an antique shop at Block 4 Sago Lane in Chinatown on Friday evening (July 19).
A Stomper, who is a resident at the block, alerted Stomp to the fire and shared photos and a video of firefighters at the scene.
"I heard a fire alarm and thought it was a false alarm again," she said.
"I went to the kitchen and saw a lot of smoke so I quickly ran downstairs to kaypo.
"The owner of the antique shop was not in so the firefighters forced open the shutter."
In response to a Stomp query, the SCDF said it responded to the fire at about 6.50pm.
It was extinguished by SCDF using one water jet and one hose reel, a spokesman said.
There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
