59-year-old woman arrested after getting rescued from ledge of Yishun block

A 59-year-old woman was arrested after she was seen standing on a ledge at Block 805 Yishun Ring Road on Wednesday afternoon (June 10).
Stomper Juliana alerted Stomp to a video of the incident that was posted on Facebook.
In the video, the woman is seen standing on a ledge between the 11th and 12th storeys of the block.

Officers are then seen pulling her off the ledge to safety.
In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it received a call for assistance at 5.40pm.
"A woman was manually rescued to safety by SCDF and Singapore Police Force (SPF)," a spokesman said.
"The woman was arrested by the police in relation to the case."
The police told Stomp they received a call for assistance at 5.39pm and that the 59-year-old woman was apprehended under the Mental Health Act.
