2 men stab another in Kampong Glam, victim taken to hospital with chest lacerations

Two men were arrested for their alleged involvement in the stabbing of a 22-year-old man in Kampong Glam on early Friday morning (March 17).

The police said they were alerted to a case along Aliwal Street at 2.57am.

The victim was found with laceration wounds on his right chest and was conscious when taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police and CCTV cameras, officers from Central Division established the identity of the two men and arrested them. Police investigations are ongoing.

The 22-year-old man and 23-year-old man were to be charged in court on Saturday (March 18) for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapon, which carries a punishment of life imprisonment, or imprisonment for a term which may extend to 15 years, and shall also be liable to caning and/or a fine.
