Two pedestrians, 12 and 13, hurt in accident at One-North: Lorry driver assisting with investigations

Two female pedestrians, aged 12 and 13, were hurt in an accident involving a lorry at One-North on the afternoon of April 1.

The lorry driver, 54, is assisting with investigations, the police told Stomp.

A video of the accident's aftermath posted online shows people gathered around the two girls lying on the road next to a lorry. The girls appeared to be wearing an orange top with blue bottoms, which resemble the physical education attire of pupils from nearby Fairfield Methodist School.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force said it was alerted at about 2:20pm to the traffic accident at the junction of Ayer Rajah Avenue and North Buona Vista Road.

When contacted by Stomp, the police said the accident involved a lorry and two pedestrians, who were conscious when taken to National University Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
