A python swimming against the current in a canal at Toa Payoh Lorong 8 caught the attention of multiple passers-by on Saturday evening (Dec 9).
Stomper Top News contributed video footage of the incident that occurred at around 6.30pm.
He said the canal was along the park connector, which was why many joggers noticed the snake in the water.
Top News told Stomp: "The snake has been trying to swim away from the canal for almost an hour. However, the current is too strong for it to go against."
Will this reptile beat the odds?
Most pythons are known to be capable swimmers, however, so it is likely that the snake might have just been having its idea of fun in the water.
