Cyclist taken to hospital after accident with bus at Tampines junction

A 65-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital after he was hit by a bus at the junction of Tampines Avenue 5 and Tampines Avenue 4 on Friday morning (Nov 15).

A Stomper alerted Stomp to the incident and shared photos taken at the scene.

The photos show a Transtar Express coach bus that had apprently knocked down a traffic light at the junction.

The front left side of the bus is badly damaged.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 5.40am.

The cyclist, a 65-year-old man, was conscious when conveyed to Changi General Hospital, a police spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
