Car overturns after accident on PIE

A car overturned in an accident along the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) towards Tuas on Sunday (Aug 23).

A Stomper alerted Stomp to the accident and shared a video of what happened.

In the video, about 11 people can be seen standing at the side of the road.

Many plastic cups, among other debris, can also be seen on the ground.

A photo of the overturned car posted on the Singapore Roads Accident Facebook page also made its rounds on social media.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 3.42pm.

Police investigations are ongoing.
