Woman buys 4D after seeing car blessed by God Of Fortune in Jurong -- and strikes 1st prize

A fleeting moment prospered into an unexpected windfall for one lucky woman.

Stomper Alicia was intrigued when she saw a 'fortune car' in Jurong West Avenue 1 on January 20, at around 1pm.

She said she was heading to a hawker centre for lunch when she saw someone dressed as the God of Fortune costume and standing next to a car.

It is unclear what was going on or whether the person in costume was the car driver. The Stomper said she is unable to provide further details as she had simply walked by and not thought much of it.

She recounted: "All we know is that it's a fortune car. My friend took a picture and then we went to makan lunch. It was as simple as that."

Alicia subsequently bought 4D with the car's licence plate number.

She was delighted when she won the first prize of $2,000 on Sunday (Jan 29), with a bet of $1.

Alicia said: "Woooot! Thank you God of Fortune for giving us luck, blessing us and letting us strike lottery on the eighth day of the Lunar New Year.

"Gong Xi Fa Cai!"
