A man is caught on video vigorously shaking a car by standing on its boot.

It is unclear when it happened, although it is believed to have happened in Singapore, as a Cheers outlet can be seen in the background.

In response to a Stomp query, FairPrice confirmed that Cheers only operates at local service stations.

In the statement, FairPrice said: "We can confirm that Cheers operates at service stations only in Singapore.

"While we are unable to ascertain the intent of the motorist, we strongly discourage motorists from engaging in such actions to prevent potential injury to themselves or to others."

Stompers Mike and Riduan had alerted Stomp to a circulated video of the incident, who was forwarded to them from a friend.

In the video, the man is seen continuously bouncing on the car's boot for at least 30 seconds before he came down from it.

According to a Facebook post showing the same video, it stated that the man was allegedly doing this in an attempt to fill his car with more petrol.

Several comments in the thread called the man a "cheapskate" and some said that he was "crazy" to damage his car "just to save that few dollars of petrol".
