A cyclist almost got hit by oncoming traffic at the junction of Jalan Bukit Merah and Lower Delta Road on April 17.

Stomper Alan shared footage of the incident with Stomp and hopes to bring awareness to drivers.

"Near miss! Be careful with this type of rider," he said.

In the video, the cyclist is seen riding across the road even though the traffic lights are not in his favour.

He comes to an abrupt stop after almost getting hit by a white car.

He then moves backwards to avoid getting hit by more vehicles and raises his arm when a lorry driver uses his high-beam lights as a warning.

Riders who fail to stop and look out for oncoming traffic before riding across the road can be fined up to $1,000 and/or get up to three months' jail.
