Special ed teacher gets married -- and even invites her whole class to wedding

Teacher Kinsey French definitely treats her special students like family by inviting them to her wedding. 

According to Distractify, French invited all six of her students with Down syndrome to join in on the festivities and attend the cerermony as ring bearers and flower girls.

She said, "They were like family to me. They were my first class and they've been my only class and so I knew I couldn't have a special day without them."

Local media stations paid French and her students a visit at their school, Christian Academy of Louisville to pick up the story.

The students said that their favourite part of the wedding was the delicious food.

They also enjoyed the chance to break it down on the dance floor.

The school posted French's story on its Facebook page and people are inspired by the her gesture.

"It was so exciting, it was really special...just to have them be a part of the day and have them come with us and celebrate with us." French said.
