Stomper Lau Lup wondered if it was coincidence or a divine sign that a black wasp built a nest at the foot of a deity statue in his home.

According to the Stomper, the insect flew in when the bell at a nearby Buddhist temple started ringing.

It flew to the pot-like the foot of a Guan Gong (God of Righteousness) statue the Stomper had in his home.

"While I filmed it in the morning, it charged at my fingers and caused me to nearly drop my phone.

"It had built a pot-like nest at the foot of the statue.

"Since its May Day tomorrow, does it mean that I will have my pot of gold from my career endeavour, just like the critter leaving behind this sealed pot like structure at God of Righteousness’s foot?

"Is this a message from God that my good work as a health care worker would be recognised and rewarded?

"I hope so, keeping my fingers crossed.

"There are two 关公 sculptures in the living room, one on the table, the other below it.

"The critter chose to build the golden pot on the latter.

"I hope that it's God's message inspiring me that the righteousness despite being downtrodden and even misunderstood, would still be reinstated and rewarded at the end of the day.

"All thanks to the insect! I just moved to a new apartment and had left the natural block of wood on the floor.

"If not for the insect to build the pot on it, I would not have rediscovered the craved face of the deity.

"Maybe God has sent an insect to also hint to me that it's high time I should elevate the wooden Guan Gong to the table, just like the stone one that I had recently bought and placed on the table."
