Woman in her 30s injured after accident with police van along Havelock Road

Stomper SJ alerted Stomp to an accident involving a woman and a police van that took place at the junction of Kim Seng Road and Havelock Road on May 4 at around 11.30pm.

In a WhatsApp message, the Stomper said he was having drinks nearby when he heard a woman scream.

Upon investigation, he found out that a police van had knocked down a female pedestrian.

Responding to a Stomp query, a police spokesperson said:

"The police confirm that an accident involving a police van and a pedestrian had occurred at the junction of Kim Seng Road and Havelock Road on 4th May 2017 at 11.32pm. 

"The pedestrian sustained minor injuries. 

"Police investigations are ongoing.

SJ reported that an ambulance arrived shortly after. 

An SCDF spokesperson told Stomp:

"SCDF was alerted to the incident at about 11.20pm and dispatched one ambulance.

"A female Chinese in her 30s was assessed with minor injuries. She refused conveyance."
