Police CSI van and patrol car spotted at Block 611 Ang Mo Kio Ave 5

A CSI van, patrol car and several traffic police motorcycles were parked along the road at Block 611 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5 yesterday (April 30) at around 9.45pm.

Stomper Eric who came across the scene said that there was a damaged motorcycle lying at a bus stop close by,  and several components of the bike were scattered across the vicinity.

However, he did not see the motorcyclist.

Said Eric:

“It was quite dark, so I could not see if there was blood or anything.

“The motorcycle was damaged, and several parts had come loose. 

"There were some officers present as well.

"I didn't manage to take a picture the motorcycle as I was afraid that if I got too close, I'll hinder their work.

“The vehicles only started driving off at around 11pm.”

The police has issued a formal statement on the incident:

"On April 30, 2017, at 7.48pm, the police were alerted to an accident involving a motorcyclist and a pedestrian along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5, towards Buangkok Green. 

"Both of them were conscious when they were conveyed to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

"Police investigations are ongoing."
