Man found dead on tracks of Fajar LRT Station identified

The man who was killed after getting hit by a train at Fajar station on the Bukit Panjang LRT line in the early hours of Mar 24 has been identified.

According to The New Paper, the victim is Mr Ang Boon Tiong, a Malaysian in his 40s.

It was earlier reported that his body had been found on the tracks after the last train in service left the platform at about 1am.

Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Residents of Block 454, Fajar Road, told TNP that they had heard shouting from the coffee shop near the block at around 10pm the night before, but they did not know if it was linked to the case.

Ms Corrine Lye, 52, who lives on the 15th storey, said: "There were very loud noises, screaming - men's voices."
