Lorry completely wrecked and bus smashed after head-on collision at Pioneer Road

Stomper Wong alerted Stomp to an accident involving a lorry and private bus along Pioneer Road today (Apr 12) at around 8am that left three people injured.

Photos sent by the Stomper show a lorry with its bonnet completely smashed and its driver's door dislodged.

The windscreen of the bus was shattered but based on the images, it did not sustain as much damage as the lorry.

The Stomper is not sure what happened but believes that both vehicles were involved in a head-on collision. 

SCDF personnel and police officers were at the scene attending to the accident.

Said a police spokesperson with regard to what happened:

"On Apr 12 at 6.30am, police were alerted to an accident involving a lorry and bus at the junction of Gul Road and Pioneer Road.

"The 40-year-old lorry driver was conscious when conveyed to NUH.

"The 60-year-old male bus driver and the 32-year-old bus passenger were conscious when conveyed to Ng Teng Fong Hospital.

"Police investigations are ongoing."
