Glass window falls from 6th floor of Block 662 Buffalo Rd -- almost hitting old man

Stomper Derrick was at Buffalo Road today (Feb 21) at around 5.45pm when he heard a loud, shattering noise.

In a telephone interview, the Stomper said a glass window had fallen from a flat on the 6th floor of Block 662.

Photos sent by the Stomper shows the broken window frame and glass shards on a flight of stairs at the foot of the block.

Said Derrick:

"I initially thought some one had jumped off the building.

"An old man was at the spot where the window had landed just five seconds before it dropped.

"He was not injured."

The damaged window was still there when Stomp contacted Derrick at 6pm.
