Stompers Joyce and Jason witnessed a car burst into flames at Block 157 Tampines Street 12 last night (Jan 7).

Both Stompers sent videos of the incident and of firefighters from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) putting out the flames.

Said Joyce:

"I was at my uncle's funeral when we noticed several of my relatives suddenly going to the carpark.

"We were curious and went to take a look too.

"My dad told me that the owner of the car had already called the SCDF so I took these videos while waiting for them to arrive.

"Nobody was injured."

An SCDF spokesperson issued Stomp with the following statement:

"SCDF was alerted to a car fire at Tampines Street 12 on Jan 7 at about 8.45pm.

"The fire involved the engine compartment of a car and was extinguished by SCDF using one hose reel and four fire extinguishers.

"There were no reports of injuries."
