A woman has filled a flat in Block 23 Telok Blangah Crescent with enough junk to touch the ceiling.

Stomper A, who wished to highlight this issue to Stomp, shared photos that show the woman struggling to enter the flat due to the immense amount of junk inside.

The Stomper said the woman has been hoarding junk for over 10 years, but only uses the flat as a storeroom as she stays elsewhere.

A was concerned as the items were fire hazards, and there were many elderly people in the block.

"If there is a real fire, the elderly may not be able to escape in time. There would be loss of property and lives," said A.

The Stomper also said the woman has been showing signs of aggression recently.

A said, "Lately, she has also started to hit her neighbours when they told her not to put more rubbish outside.

"She also had scuffles with neighbours and Town Council workers before and the family refused to seek treatment for her," added the Stomper.

A stated that the woman does not just hoard paper items, but also things like used furniture. "How much weight can a HDB flat handle," asked the concerned Stomper.

"Hoarding is due to a mental illness which requires medical attention.

"Apart from clearing the items in her flat frequently, they should also think of how to make the woman seek the required medical help.

"Even if the items have been cleared, if she does not seek any medical help, she will continue to hoard again.

"Her family should really help her in seeking medical help!"
