Driver and passenger in taxi injured following collision with bus along Guillemard Rd

Stomper Adam alerted Stomp to an accident yesterday (Apr 19) at around 8.30pm at the junction of Guillemard Road and Nicoll Highway, involving an SBS bus and an SMRT taxi, which resulted in a taxi driver and his passenger being sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

Said the Stomper:

"I was driving by when I saw the aftermath of the accident. The road junction was covered with shattered glass.

"I couldn't tell what exactly happened, but I saw paramedics tending to the injured. 

"There was also a massive traffic jam. Two ambulances were at the scene and some paramedics were directing the traffic.  

"Cars could only trickle through the junction one at a time. I was stuck there for close to 10 minutes."

A police spokesperson told Stomp:

“On 19th April 2017 at 8.12pm, the police were alerted to an accident involving a taxi and a bus at the junction of Mountbatten Road and Guillemard Road.

"A 68-year-old male taxi driver and a 53-year-old taxi passenger were conscious when conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

"Police investigations are ongoing."
