Living in Singapore can be expensive which is why economy rice stalls at heartland coffeshops can be a life-send when you are hoping to save money.

But what happens when your plate of economy rice costs close to double that of a Happy Meal at McDonald's?

This is what happened to Stomper Lance when he ordered a plate of rice at Koufu Pioneer Mall.

He was charged a "crazy price" of $9.30 for one fish, one meat and one vegetable helping with his rice.

He believes that the prices spiked after the kopitiam reopened after renovation.

Do you think this price is fair?
