Youngest yoga instructor in China, 7, earns over $20k teaching

A seven-year-old boy in Zhejiang province in China has reportedly earned more than 100,000 yuan (S$21,000) by teaching yoga.

The boy, Sun Chuyang, from  Wenling in Taizhou city, started learning yoga when he was three years old.

He became certified as a yoga instructor about a year ago and the youngest yoga teacher in China, reports AsiaOne

He has trained over 100 students to date.

Sun’s mother said that her son had picked up yoga as a way to battle autism.

He had been diagnosed with slight autism after he was put in a daycare centre when he was two.

To help Sun overcome his condition, his mother closed down her apparel store and enrol Sun in yoga classes.

Sun displayed an extraordinary gift in yoga, and his conditions improved drastically after two years of practice.

When he turned six, he started teaching yoga to other kids at several local yoga centres.
