A taxi caught fire along Yio Chu Kang Link on Wednesday morning (April 25).

Stomper Vern was on a bus travelling along the road when she saw the ComfortDelGro cab engulfed in flames.

"It was near an overhead bridge, in front of a bus stop," she said.

"When I returned to the area later in the day, I saw that the fire had been extinguished and it was being attached to a tow truck."

A Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesman said that they were alerted to the fire at 9am.

"The fire was extinguished by SCDF using one hose reel," said an SCDF spokesman.

There were no reported injuries.

Stomp earlier reported on a Trans-Cab taxi that had caught fire on the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) on Tuesday (April 24) at around 11.30pm.
