Yet another driver beats red light despite pedestrians crossing road

Pedestrians crossing the road were not enough to deter a car driver from beating the red light.

The incident occurred along Yishun Ring Road on Sunday (Jan 9), at around 11.40am.

The driver's behaviour has sparked outrage among netizens after dashcam footage was uploaded online by Facebook page SG Road Vigilante.

This is the latest in a spate of cases involving drivers beating the red light and narrowly avoiding an accident with pedestrians.

An Audi driver caught on camera beating the red light along Lentor Avenue was arrested by the police on January 4.

Separately, SBS Transit said it would be taking stern disciplinary action against a bus captain who nearly knocked down three pedestrians after running the red light at Jurong East Avenue 1 on December 28.

A truck and a van were also seen committing similar offences on separate occasions.
