Stomper Shalini is immensely grateful to the kind soul who swiftly returned her wallet to Sengkang Neighbourhood Police Centre after she lost it on Saturday morning (Feb 8).
Shalini said she lost the wallet in the vicinity of Buangkok MRT station at around 8.15am.
It contained valuables such as her and her son's identification cards, ATM card and cash.
Shalini told Stomp: "I kept the wallet in my shopping trolley and it somehow slipped out of it."
However, she was surprised when she called Sengkang Neighbourhood Police Centre's hotline at around 9.05am and was told that her wallet was already with them.
Shalini added: "I wanted to thank the kind-hearted person who found my wallet.
"While people are busy hoarding items, this kind soul took out the time to deposit my wallet at the police station immediately. I am so thankful.
"I was planning a visit overseas which would not be possible without the documents inside.
"Thank you so much."
