A woman was caught on camera kicking her pet husky several times at Depot Road on Sunday (Aug 2).

Stomper Artivo witnessed the incident outside the multi-purpose hall at Block 110B Depot Road at around 5.30pm and expressed concerns over the dog's well-being.

Artivo, a resident in the vicinity, took a video of the woman's actions and shared it with Stomp.

He said: "We spotted the woman walking her beautiful husky when for no reason, she started kicking it. She had actually kicked the dog a few times before we started taking the video.

"Please share this to create awareness to the public."

Responding to queries by Stomp, executive director of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), Dr Jaipal Singh Gill, said: "The SPCA promotes force free and humane dog handling and training.

"We believe a rewards based approach is kinder and achieves better results.

"We are happy to provide advice and guidance to the lady in the video.

"She can contact the SPCA at inspector@spca.org.sg."
