A woman riding a personal mobility device (PMD) crashed into a sliding glass door at Toa Bus Interchange on Sunday morning (June 1).

A video of the incident was posted on SBS Transit's Facebook page, showing the woman hitting one of the sliding glass doors before it fully opens as she is passing through the doorway.

The impact causes the glass to shatter and the basket attached to her device to fall off.

She is then seen getting of the PMD to pick up the basket and push the device away from the scene.

SBS Transit said in its post: "We would like to remind users of mobility devices to please be careful when moving around in enclosed spaces.

"We are thankful that no one was injured in this incident.

SBS Transit corporate communications senior vice-president told The Straits Times that the incident happened at 7.35am.

She said the glass shattered on impact and the woman left the scene immediately.

"The area was cordoned off and has since been cleared of the glass debris," said Ms Tan.

"No one was injured and bus operations were unaffected.

She also said a police report was being made.
