Stomper Sani spotted a woman riding on the road with her Personal Mobility Device (PMD) near Causeway Point at around 8pm yesterday (May 15).

In a video shared by Sani, a woman is seen riding her PMD at the side of the road, without any safety gear.

Sani said: "She should not just do as she wishes."

"She should be on the pavement instead."

Starting from May 1, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said that power-assisted bicycles (PABs) are not allowed on footpaths while e-scooters cannot go on public roads.

First-time offenders who flout the usage rules and speed limits may be fined up to $1,000 or jailed up to three months, or both, reports The Straits Times.

Repeat offenders may have their fine and jail term doubled.
