Woman pulls child back after Merc driver speeds up instead of stopping at zebra crossing

We are all told that motorists should stop at zebra crossings to let pedestrians pass.

Sadly, not all motorists take this rule seriously, like the Mercedes driver seen in this clip posted on ROADS.sg by Yeow Cy for example.

The clip shows a three woman and a child crossing the road using the zebra crossing at the entrance of Parkway Parade at Marine Parade.

However, one of the woman pulls the child back after seeing a Mercedes driver speeding up instead stopping for them to cross.

She waves angrily at the driver as the pedestrians continue crossing after the car has passed by.

One can only be thankful that she was alert and managed to pull the child back in time.

In the caption for the video, the ROADS.sg page administrators stated:

"Failure to give way to pedestrians at crossing attracts a $150 fine and 6 demerit points."
