A man working at a chicken rice stall was caught on camera picking his nose with his mask down in Punggol Central.

Sharing a video of the incident, Stomper Lillian said it happened on March 19 at around noon.

"He was digging his nose and chopping chicken," said the Stomper.

"I was damn disgusted. We can’t expect outside food to be extra clean, but at least practise some hygiene, please."

The five-second video shows the man in a blue T-shirt behind the counter with his mask won under his chin and picking his nose with his pinky finger. He then looked at his finger, rubbed his nose and went back to work.

Stomp has contacted the Singapore Food Agency and the chicken rice stall for more info.

While Singapore has exited the acute phase of the Covid-19 pandemic from Feb 13, food handlers are still required to wear a mask or spit guard to ensure food safety.
