A woman's first taste of Li Xin Teochew Fishball Noodles will also unfortunately be her last.

Stomper Wenqing said she was left disappointed after visiting the brand's Thomson Plaza outlet at Koufu food court last Thursday (Mar 23), at around 7.30pm.

She recounted: "I ordered the dried mee pok noodles without chilli, which came with five round fishballs in soup, at the cost of $6?!

"Look at the portion of the noodles in tomato sauce. I managed to finish the noodles in two mouths. Furthermore, the Michelin award-winning fishballs tasted normal and nothing special."

The Stomper shared a photo of the stall's signboard, showing how the noodles looked to be in bigger portions compared to what she was actually served.

Wenqing said she did not provide feedback to the stall, explaining: "I had a stressful day in the office and did not wish to have any altercation with the two stall vendors."

Founded in 1968, Li Xin Teochew Fishball Noodles is known for its signature fishballs that are handmade from 100% yellowtail fish. Its flagship store in Toa Payoh was awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand Award in 2022.

Wenqing added: "Michelin or no Michelin, this is my first and the last time patronising them. The portion of the noodles and taste of the fishball do not do justice to the $6 price tag."

Stomp has contacted Li Xin Teochew Fishball Noodles and Koufu for more info.
