Footage shows man narrowly escaping after Volkswagen reverses into Selegie Rd restaurant, woman arrested for drink driving

A 46-year-old woman was arrested for drink driving after she crashed her Volkswagen into a restaurant at 9 Selegie Road in the wee hours of Friday (Jan 31).

Two Stompers contributed photos of what they saw as they went past the scene.

The driver's side of the car is damaged. 

A video published on Facebook page SG Road Vigilante shows a man narrowly escaping before the Volkswagen reverses into the restaurant.

Responding to a Stomp query, the police said: "On 31 Jan at 12.27am, the police were alerted to an accident involving a car at 9 Selegie Road.

"The 46-year-old female driver was subsequently arrested for drink driving.

"No injuries were reported.

"Police investigations are ongoing."
