Woman, 60, on life support after accident at Tampines, 17-year-old cyclist assisting police with investigations

A 60-year-old woman suffered severe trauma to her head in an accident with a cyclist at a park connector along Block 495E Tampines Street 43 on Sunday night (June 3).

The woman, Madam Violet Poh, is currently on life support at Changi General Hospital, reports The Straits Times.

A 17-year-old cyclist is assisting police with investigations.

In response to media queries, the police said that they were alerted to the accident at about 8pm.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said that the victim was unconscious when taken to the hospital which was alerted to be on standby to receive her.

Her son, Shawn Toh told ST that his family is hoping those who witnessed the incident will be able to share more information with the police.
