Stomper Tan was at the void deck of Block 436 Fajar Road in Bukit Panjang at around 10.30am today (Apr 21) when he spotted a monkey climbing on a fence around a gardening area.

Said the Stomper:

"I only saw one monkey and it was climbing along some fencing before it climbed up a tree and ate fruits.

"Then it swung from tree to tree before it headed towards Fajar LRT station.

"I've been staying along Fajar Road for close to 30 years and this is the first time I've seen a monkey here."

Stomper Kartik also alerted Stomp to a monkey spotted along Gangsa Road this afternoon.

Both Fajar Road and Gangsa Road are in the same area as Segar Road, the housing area where a spate of monkey attacks recently occurred.

Just yesterday (Apr 20), a group of officers, including staff from the Animal Concerns Research and Education Society (ACRES), were spotted attempting to catch a "troublesome" monkey at Block 469 Segar Road.
