Why did the chickens cross the road -- at Strathmore Avenue?

Stomper Nazreen was amused when she spotted a pair of chickens crossing the road near her home at Strathmore Avenue in Queenstown yesterday (July 12).

According to the Stomper, she had never seen chickens on the loose in the area before that day and was wondering where they could have come from.

Said Nazreen:

"Several people just looked at them, surprised.

"Birds are common here, but never chickens!"
