Even monitor lizards need to go shopping, like this one at Punggol Plaza

You would have seen shoppers of all shapes and sizes. But probably not one like this.

Which was exactly what Stomper Alzel thought when she came across this sight while shopping at Punggol Plaza at 2.15pm today (Mar 29).

So what was unusual about this situation? Well, a monitor lizard had wondered into the mall.

And it was happily wandering about until animal rescue personnel arrived.

"They tried to catch it, but it was zipping around really quickly," said Alzel.

They eventually caught it after quite a bit of chasing."
