A wild boar sprinting across the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) was hit by an oncoming car in the early hours of Dec 7.

In a video circulating online, the wild boar suddenly appears running from the left side of the expressway before a loud thud is heard.

A person in the car exclaims: "What the f*** was that?"

She then tells the others in the car it was a wild boar before the car pulls over at the side of the expressway.

A woman is seen exiting the vehicle to inspect its front.

A photo circulating online shows the boar lying in front of the car with a piece of metal on top of it.

In response to a Stomp query, the National Parks Board (NParks) said they are aware of the incident and are investigating.

Motorists are advised to drive within speed limits and be alert to animals crossing when driving along roads flanked by forested areas, especially where there are signs to indicate animal crossings.

If there is an injured or distressed animal, the public is advised to call the Animal Response Centre at 1800-476-1600 or contact NParks at www.avs.gov.sg/feedback.
