It's almost Christmas Day.

Not that you can tell if you take a walk along Jurong West Avenue 1, which is adorned with Chinese New Year decorations instead.

The Lunar New Year falls on Jan 22 and Jan 23 in 2023 — a whole month before Christmas Day on Dec 25.

Stomper Yogi shared photos of the Chinese New Year decorations in the vicinity of Jurong West 505 Market & Food Centre.

Chinese lanterns as well as light displays with Chinese greetings and characters have been put up around the estate.

Yogi said: "Christmas has not even started but in Jurong West Avenue 1, Chinese New Year has already begun.

"The decorations have been up for awhile, since November if I'm not wrong. There have been no Christmas decorations at all in this area.

"I feel so sad for our residents. How come other areas have Christmas decorations but not here? So sad."

Stomp has contacted Jurong-Clementi Town Council for more info.
