Reports of e-scooter riders behaving recklessly on the road are increasingly prevalent these days.

Despite it being against the law, some users continue to ride their e-scooters on the road.

And although 'dismount and push' is not technically a rule, riders are nevertheless encouraged to do so at high-traffic areas, in addition to slowing down and looking out for traffic at pedestrian crossings.

Which is also everything this young e-scooter rider failed to do.

To top it off, the traffic light was also not in his favour when the rider crossed the road on his personal mobility device.

Stomper Ben encountered the boy along Sims Way on March 12 and shared a video of the incident.

Ben said: "This guy on an e-scooter simply rode across the junction like he owned the road.

"Both the car on my left and I had to brake hard."
