Singapore is often cited as one of the cleanest cities in the world.

Often, it is hard to tell.

Stomper Nantha shared photos of joss paper strewn all over the road at Woodlands Drive 14 on Saturday (Sept 16).

"The road was littered with paper after a congregation for Hungry Ghost Festival," said the Stomper. "They could have cleaned up after."

The last day of the festival was Sept 14.

Another Stomper shared a photo of the litter left behind by fans at the Singapore Grand Prix.

This year's Formula One event ended on Sunday (Sept 17).

So it seems the Hungry Ghost Festival and Singapore Grand Prix have something else in common besides being in the same month.
