Weight falls on man's head after he loses grip while using smith machine at Surabaya gym

A man was left unconscious and bleeding from the head after a mishap at a gym in Indonesia.

Facebook user Joni Komang had posted a video of the incident, which according to the caption took place at Celebrity Fitness Supermall in Surabaya on Feb 24.

The caption said that the man had lost his grip due to an 'overload', causing the weight to fall on his head.

Paramedics can be seen attending to the man, who has a bloodied bandage around his head, and placing him on a stretcher.

It is unclear what happened to him.

The video also cautioned people to always use safety clips when using the smith machine, which is a device used for weight-training.
