Vice syndicate operating website showing female escorts offering sex crippled by police, 12 arrested

Ten women and two men, aged between 22 and 38, were arrested for their suspected involvement in vice-related activities in a police operation on Sep 19.

Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Central Police Division, and Tanglin Police Division conducted coordinated raids at multiple locations island-wide, including Geylang Bahru, Balestier, Sembawang and Novena.

Items including cash, laptops, and mobile phones were seized as case exhibits during the operation that saw an online vice syndicate being crippled.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the syndicate had operated a website which featured female escorts who had advertised sexual services online.

Investigations against the suspects are ongoing.
